[postdoc] Interpretable ML for predicting Emergency Room overcrowding

The successful candidate will have access to amazing data and medical and hospital administration experts to develop trustworthy models with guarantees, with the goal of producing impactful publications while saving lives.

The research will be carried out in a dynamic group of graduate students and young faculty with active collaborations with academic Institutions like CMU, University of Milan, University of Bologna, TU Eindhoven, or U Novi Sad, and companies and institutions in the areas of social good like the national health service, green energy, or space debris.

All of this while benefiting from the wonderful weather and welcoming people of Portugal, 5 minutes away from the beach. :-)

We are looking for PhDs in Mathematics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related disciplines to fulfill this challenge.
