| Girl Scout Service Unit 905 (Manassas, Virginia) |
| The registration cost for Adventure
Day increases in a week, so if you want to save some money get your
registrations to Becky soon. Although I have heard there is a lot of
interest in attending, right now we have more than twice as many
activities/vendors then people registered. I'd hate to have all these
vendors doing this for Girl Scouting and nobody show up. I don't think
they would want to do anything with Girl Scouts again if that happened. I
hope everyone just does the last minute registration scare. If you can't make it and so aren't registering the troop, please offer it to your girls as a parent daughter event. That's what we did when we had it in October and a had pretty good turn out. I am attaching the flyer if you want to pass it on to the girls and the website is advday.weebly.com. As of now we have over 85 activities/vendors confirmed, and for the cost of $5 or $8 that is a great deal. We'll have all kinds of animals, environmental education, high adventure vendors, arts and crafts, and more. Come see a guy standing in a cage of bees with no protective suit, and more really neat things. We also need teens to help with some activities and jobs, and they can help us make a Girl Scout Harlem Shake video, or maybe get a chance to sit on a 1600 lb Texas Longhorn Steer. Hope to see you there! George |
