Hi Fellow Sigma Peeps,

Here is the link to the competition information.  Divisions are Beginner, RX, Scaled, 40 - 49 Masters RX; 40+ Masters Scaled; 50+ Masters RX. It's $50 to compete.  I emailed the head guy with the following questions and these are his answers.  I'm most likely going to compete regardless if anyone else does but I hope that all of you do too!! It's fun! You can also register as a volunteer but why would you want to do that?? :-)

1.       What is the difference between 40+ masters scaled and 50+ masters RX?

Difference in WOD’s for the two masters RX will be age only, scaled will be that we expect the rx to do pull-ups.  Strength levels will be very close.

2.       What are the standards for the beginner division?

Beginner is for anyone who has given a taste to crossfit.  No skills required.  Low weights.

3.       When will the WODs be released? (I think there are 3?)

WOD’s in approx. two weeks.

4.       If you win the division at that particular competition, do get an award for that?

Medals for winning on site, big prizes for winning the overall.

5.       Where are the competition rules, tie-breakers etc. for THAT particular competition?  We competed at a local competition and the tie-breaker rule they used was bogus.

All the tie break rules will be out.  But the simple is if there is a tie breaker, more wins between the two competitors matters.  Ie – with three WOD’s, if one competitor beat the person they are tied with two out of the three wods, then that person is the winner between them.  Pretty simple.

This is cool.  I didn't realize it was also a "Worldwide" competition.  You can win against the people at the box you compete at but you can also see how you do in your division worldwide.  There are also cool prizes if you place in the world!

Beginner, Scaled, Masters Scaled, RX, Masters RX 40-49, Masters RX 50+.
World Wide WOD Global Aftermath - August 10th.
The World Wide WOD is an awesome place to compete. As your scores are entered you will be able to see how you stack up against the rest of the world, and you can win awesome prizes from WODLife and Quest Nutrition!
Divisions for everyone - if the box that you are competing at only has a handful of people in your division, its ok! The World will have a bunch, so you can see how you stack up!

This Garage Games competition looks pretty cool! I definitely like how they have different levels of competition so that people @ any fitness level can compete & have fun. The WODs look good too!
