I sent that last email by mistake, I was still adding to it:
- easy command-line power managment: (enable/disable sleep on close lid if on battery)
- arabic terminal!!1 with arabic core-utilities++ (This will be an experement to see if the thing can live on its own)
- system management scripts (no need for a GUI unless its really necessary)
- event center (if I finish this, It'll be a key feature :: think of it as cron on 4D steroids) don't have a name for it yet
- local news papers?
- simple auto-targeting popup messaging system :: we always needed one of this. maybe it'll be based on osd-notify and a simple input dialog. who knows. Also, protect it with ecryption and signing!!1
- Default kb shortcuts: Ctrl+Alt+H opens nautilus
- strip away samba support if posible
- oneko

++ switch to an ubuntu server edition as a base and have two distros:
+++ a light bare-bones disto
+++ and a desktop distro which builds upon it
