I would like to share a recent initiative that may be of interest to those working in Arabic NLP and speech technologies:

The project introduces an interactive platform for evaluating Arabic text-to-speech (TTS) systems. The concept is simple: users input an Arabic sentence, listen to outputs from two different models, and select the one they find more natural or accurate. These pairwise comparisons are then used to rank models and improve their performance over time.

Given the current challenges in Arabic TTS—particularly in handling dialectal diversity and naturalness—community-driven evaluation can play a valuable role in advancing the field.
