We are pleased to share that The 7th Workshop on Open-Source Arabic Corpora and Processing Tools (OSACT7) has been accepted to run as part of LREC 2026, which will take place in Palma de Mallorca, Spain, 11–16 May 2026. https://osact-lrec.github.io/

OSACT7 will continue its mission of advancing open-source Arabic NLP through both research papers and shared task tracks. This year, the workshop will host seven shared tasks, each organised by teams across the Arabic NLP community:

Shared Tasks at OSACT7:

• QIAS 2026: Questions & Answers in Islamic Studies Assessment (Hamad Bin Khalifa University & Nazarbayev University)
• Nahw: Grammar Error Detection & Correction (Qatar Computing Research Institute)
• Arabic Politeness Detection (King Saud University, University of Hail & Cadi Ayyad University)
• SASA 2026: Sentiment Analysis and Swapping in Arabic (KFUPM, Lancaster University & VinUniversity)
• Arabic Humour Generation (King Saud University)
• KSAA 2026: Arabic Speech Dictation with Automatic Diacritisation (King Salman Academy & Princess Nourah University)
• FITRA 2026: Intuitive Thinking and Reasoning in Pan-Arab Commonsense (University of Luxembourg, UM6P, KFUPM, Sorbonne, Lancaster University & Ibn Tofail University)

We will soon circulate the Call for Papers and Calls for Participation for these shared tasks through this list and other channels.
