MirathQA – A New Arabic Dataset for Hanbali Islamic Inheritance Reasoning in LLMs

Dear SIGARAB Community,

We are pleased to introduce MirathQA, a new open Arabic dataset for evaluating LLMs on Hanbali Islamic inheritance (Muwārīth) reasoning.

• Built from 242 authentic real-life cases in Hanbali Fiqh sources.
• Contains 1,394 annotated questions (mostly MCQs, plus true/false on blocking).
• Covers share calculation, al-ḥajb (blocking), taʿsīb, ʿawl, radd, multi-step arithmetic, and logical reasoning.
• Train/val/test splits: 70%/15%/15% at case level.
