Dear SIGARAB community,

I am looking to urgently hire a temporary Research Assistant in Arabic NLP & LLMs Qatar to join the MARSAD Lab.

Local hire only • No sponsorship provided • 1 year contract

MUST HAVE: Valid Qatari Residence Permit If you don't have Qatar residency, please don't apply. A NOC letter from current sponsor is also required.

What You'll Do:
Research in Arabic Natural Language Processing
Develop and evaluate Large Language Models
Handle data collection and annotation
Write research publications
Collaborate on project deliverables

Requirements:
Advanced degree in Computer Science/Data Science/AI
ML/NLP experience with at least 2 publications (Journals or Conferences)
Strong programming skills
Fluent in Arabic and English
Valid Qatar residency (Family sponsored with NOC ready)

Preferred:
LLM experience
Arabic NLP background
Data annotation expertise
