This is the last call for participation in the AlexandriaX-2026 Shared Task!
Registration closes on July 20, 2026, which also marks the beginning of the blind test phase. Don't miss the opportunity to participate in one of the premier shared tasks on context-aware dialectal Arabic machine translation and MT evaluation.
The shared task features three exciting subtasks:
Subtask 1: Context-Aware English-to-Dialectal Arabic Dialogue Translation
Subtask 2: Cross-Dialect Arabic Machine Translation
Subtask 3: Dialectal Arabic MT Error Detection and Classification
The training and development datasets, baseline code, evaluation scripts, task documentation, submission guidelines, and CodaBench competition pages are all available on the official website:
During the development phase, participants may evaluate their systems locally using the development sets. We also strongly encourage participants to submit their predictions to the corresponding CodaBench page for each subtask. This helps verify that submissions are processed correctly and ensures a smooth transition to the official test phase, where CodaBench will serve as the submission platform for the final evaluation.
Participants may compete in one or more subtasks, and all participating teams will have the opportunity to submit a system description paper to the ArabicNLP 2026 Workshop.

There are only a few days left to register. We encourage researchers, students, and industry practitioners to join the competition, benchmark their systems against the community, and contribute to advancing Arabic NLP research.
