Hi all,
I just joined SIGARAB. I'm doing a big study of how fonts affect letter recognition and reading in Arabic. I need to recruit 200 people who are native fluent speakers of Arabic. Prolific, among their hundreds of thousands of users, includes only 200 native Arabic speakers. Today I'm trying UpWork, as suggested by Amr Keleg, the Online Asset Resource Manager of SIGARAB. He did part of his PhD research online with native Arabic speakers recruited through UpWork.

I'd be grateful for any advice for online recruitment of native Arabic participants, regardless of where they are now.

Hi Dennis,

You can try khamsat for microservices, very popular among thousands of freelancers in Arabic speaking countries. You can post any service you want to get and its budget, and people can apply/bid.

There is also https://mostaql.com/ but it's more focused on projects.

I'm not sure if they have an English interface though.

I tried to use Amazon Mechanical Turk, but I could hardly find any Arabic speaking users on it,

Good luck!

All the best,
Hussein
