Dear Members of the SIG,
I am delighted to share a newly published article that I had the pleasure of co-authoring with Prof. Kevin W. H. Tai, my PhD primary supervisor.
In this article, we explore how students create a translanguaging space for
co-learning during collaborative Digital Multimodal Composing (DMC). Drawing on
the dual lenses of translanguaging and transpositioning, we illustrate how
students mobilise their available resources and how this enables them to take
up different roles and perspectives during the process. The findings suggest
that the process of engaging in collaborative DMC could broaden students’
lexical and cultural knowledge, with the potential to enhance both their
writing and design of their DMC.
The paper is now published open access in Applied Linguistics Review.
