Dear Members of the SIG,

I would like to take this opportunity to share the following paper with you all. This paper presents the reconceptualised framework of Second Language Motivational Self-System (L2MSS) for researching translanguaging and language learning motivation, which integrates micro-, meso-, and macro-level analyses, in order to understand how the creation of a translanguaging space in English Medium Instruction (EMI) classrooms shape students' translanguaging learning experience, contribute to students' language learning motivation and facilitate their transition from first language medium of instruction to a new EMI environment.
