We are pleased to invite chapter proposals for an edited volume titled Translanguaging and the Arts: Expanding Possibilities for Language Learning and Teaching (under consideration with Wiley-Blackwell). This volume explores how translanguaging and arts-based approaches can be meaningfully integrated to reimagine language learning as multimodal, embodied, and creative meaning-making.
We welcome conceptual, empirical, and pedagogical contributions across a range of contexts (e.g., language classrooms, content/EMI settings, teacher education, community spaces, and digital environments), and engaging diverse artistic and multimodal practices such as visual arts, drama and performance, poetry and spoken word, storytelling, music and movement, and digital/multimodal composition.
Abstract deadline: June 30, 2026 (approx. 400 words)
