Kevin Murnane, Manager of Tahoe XC

I am sorry to be the bearer of sad news. Kevin Murnane, the manager of Tahoe XC, was missing and eventually found dead in the woods near the Tahoe XC office. Cause of death is still unknown.

Having managed many ski-orienteering events there, I can say that he will be greatly missed. He ran a great community XC operation and was always very helpful for our events.

Hi Rosemary,

I just found out that he suffered from depression and he took his life. Yes, very tragic, especially for his family...not to mention for himself. Being married to someone who suffers from depression I often get a glimpse of how horrible it can be.
