I think the many groups who are outraged by this could get together, create wearable storyboards of the removed posters and keep them on display that way with volunteers.

Thanks everyone.  Glad that Sierra Club is on it.

I hope they haven’t distroyed this one too! Took this at the ATAC demonstration last August at the President’s House when the “review" was first announced. 

Michael Coard, the founder of ATAC is on the right.  The names of the nine slaves living at the President’s House.  The signage has long been considered a public education updating 

our true history. The irony is ttaht tomorrow is World EducationDay!!   Peggy Hartzell

   

    

Had to take Rustin’s advice to the gathering. Rev. Mark Tyler     Update-Today elementary school teachers were creating learning walls for Trump and his slow-learners who think they can erase Black history.

Here's what I know this morning (not much):

• The town hall zoom last night hosted by Avenging The Ancestors was at capacity. I don't think any of our leaders were able to join in.
• I've heard that Phila tour guides will be gathering at the visitor center and will be leading groups to explain what used to be and should be on the walls across the street.
• Gov Shapiro is scheduled to be at the Free Library today. Perhaps he will make an appearance at the site.
• My wife and I will be taking the train in to Jefferson Station today to walk the Independence Park grounds.

• It's 9 degrees outside - headed for a high of 19

I expect there will be something organized for next weekend. If someone sees something creditable online, please share.

This is a fast moving story. Perhaps the lawsuit filed by Mayor Parker will result in the signs being returned to the walls (at least temporarily while another location is established - which would be inappropriate) or transfered to city management.

Karen's suggestion of protestors wearing sandwich placards with similar messaging is a good one. Especially in the build up to the 250 events.
