Yo Runners,
As you know, a big part of our club's mission is to promote running locally. The Hall family has fallen on hard times as of late but has two Jr. National level runners, Carys and Hannah. They both qualified to be apart of the 2012 AAU Junior Olympics. They run track with the Valley Vipers Athletic Club, the club was formed to encourage youth (ages 5-18) to get involved in the sports of track and field and boxing. The Valley Vipers Athletic Club is a non-profit organization, and an affiliate of the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) and a member of USA Track and Field (USATF) organizations. The club competes in both AAU and USATF meets. This year Hannah and Carys both qualified for the AAU Junior Olympics and need our help to get them to Houston.
Hannah:
Hannah’s personal records have her ranked in the top 20 nationally in the 3000, 1500 and 800 meters.
2012 West Coast Junior Olympics Champion - 3000 meters, 800 meters, 4x400 relay
2012 CUSD District Champion Cross Country
2012, 2011 and 2010 CUSD District Champion – 1500 meters and 800 meters
2011 Fresno Junior Relays Champion – 1500 and 800 meters
Carys:
Carys personal records have her ranked in the top 10 in the long jump, 800 meters, and top 20 the 400 meters.
2012 West Coast Junior Olympics Champion - 800, 400 and Long Jump
2012 AAU National Qualifier Meet Champion – 800 meters, 400
2011 AAU National Junior Olympic Games in New Orleans, LA - Bronze Medal Winner - 800 Meters
2011 National Elite Youth All-American - 800 meters
2011 National Elite Youth Honor Roll - 400 meters and Long Jump
