EPSON Easy Photo Print is a program for use by owners of certain printers manufactured by EPSON.The application interface is straightforward and allows you to print photographs or other images with ease. The program displays a tree of folders on the left side with images that can be printed displayed in the center panel. The wizard interface guides you through setting up the print.When you've selected a photo you'd like to print with Easy Photo Print, you can apply different corrections to the image and adjust the positioning by cropping or rotating the image.Easy Photo Print can also add frames to the image and other creative effects and depending on how many pages you print. Easy Photo Print also allows you to change the paper direction, the type of paper (glossy, matte, etc.) and the quality.Once all of the parameters are set, click the "Print" button inside of Easy Photo Print and the printer will do the rest of the work. reason i am asking this, i have taught my 96 year old grandfather to use GIMP for his photo print shop, but it is too much complicated for him. before he was using "Epson Easy Photo Print App" on Windows which is a great and simple to use app.

This freeware is available for direct downloading and it is available in several languages. It is a program to make photo printing very easy and quick. The main interface shows us three icons for selecting the photos, selecting the paper and customising the layout and printing. We can also see our system directory tree with all our files & folders and external devices on the left side of the application. By clicking on any file and folder the images contained in them are opened automatically in the main window. There we can select the images required and press next to continue. It allows us to make various corrections to the photos before printing, add coments, dates, select the position and size, print an photo index, etc. It supports TIFF,JPEG,PIC,BMP and RAW images. We can access the users guide in the help menu. It is supported on Windows & Mac operating system - Windows 98 to Vista (2nd Edition) and Mac OSX10.2 or later.
Other than for Windows in Ubuntu there are no fancy utilities provided from printer manufacturers to print photos. I am aware of Gnome Photo Printer and of Photoprint, the first being easy to handle, the latter having more options. However I wonder if there are any other or maybe even better alternatives (including plugins) to perform the following tasks:
After half a pack of ink cartridges and half a pack of photo paper cards I am getting tired of testing. At least Gimp and Picasa looked promising but both don't keep their promise when it comes to printing. I'd already be happy to quickly print a few photos with EOG if bug #80220 was fixed - but it's still on "wishlist".

For example: if you created passport photos for 64 inch paper size but, you have an A4 photo paper. Then, select the paper size as A4 and the photo size as 64 inch in the printing option to print your perfect sized passport photo.

I keep running into the 4102 error code whenever I try to print on 8 and 1/2 by 11 photo paper. I did not set it to 4 by 6 because that won't fix the problem. I have uninstalled and reinstalled all of the drivers and software and even changed the printer preferences for photo printing to try to get it to print on letter sixed photo paper. I even uninstalled and reinstalled the easy photo print program, but after all that it still did not fix the issue. What kind of printer is this that can't even print on sizes bigger then 4 by 6 when it comes to photo paper? It will print letter sized for plain paper, but I need it to work for photo paper too. Is there any kind of permanent fix for this error code for my printer, that won't cost me money, or will I have to go through the trouble of getting another printer of this brand that will print letter sized photo paper, or should I get a different brand from another company if I keep running into this same issue with all the other Canon printers? This is frustrating and I need a permanent fix for this issue ASAP!!!!!
