Question about siege transaction times

Once siege is initiated, how does it calculate the transaction time...
for instance, i see one that says 3.37 secs. How is that calculated if
3.37 didnt pass and the next transaction is hit...

It's not clear what you're referring to when you say "transaction
time" do you mean the lines that print to stdout with each
transaction? i.e.,

The server is now under siege...
HTTP/1.0 200 0.26 secs: 4067 bytes ==> /
HTTP/1.0 200 0.12 secs: 4064 bytes ==> /

For each individual transaction, the clock starts before the socket
connection is made and it ends when the last byte is read.
