# SIDERITE update log in 20250131
## Fixes in website
- If there are more than one records for the siderophore, the website only shows references from the first record .
- The numbers of ligands ('Carboxylate' and 'Alpha-hydroxycarboxylate") are wrong, when these ligands are from Citrate.
## Number change
The number of SIDERITE records = 945 (last time) + 694 (new records) - 4 Deferrihydroxyneocoprogen I, Hydroxycopropen, N,N,N-triacetylfusarinin C, Serratiochelin. See "Correct and update records" for more details.) = 1635
The number of unique siderophore structures: 707 + 215 (new) - 4 ( 4 duplication: SID00374, SID00387, SID00003, SID00186) = 918
The number of Siderophore clusters: 26 - 1 (Cluster 8) + 8 (Cluster 8 and Cluster 27-33) = 33
## Archive files
SIDERITE_records_20250131.xlsxcontains 1635 siderophore records
SIDERITE_unique_structures_20250131.xlsxcontains 918 unique siderophore structures
The same siderophore structures can be found in different species, leading to multiple records. Therefore, the number of siderophore records can exceed the number of unique siderophore structures.
Non-natural_siderophore_records_20250131.xlsxAs SIDERITE is a natural product database, it doesn’t include artificial siderophores, those synthesized by supplementing precursors, or variants produced by gene knock-out strains, though we record their names and references as supplements.
They can be downloaded in zenodo: [

1.Corrected the structure of "Heterobactin A" (SID00595) in Rhodococcus erythropolis, and renamed it as "Heterobactin A Carrano". See two special cases section for more details.
2.Corrected the structure of "Serratiochelin" (SID00186). After correction, the structure of "Serratiochelin" and "Serratiochelin A" are same. Therefore, we merged them, and assigned "Serratiochelin" as the other name of "Serratiochelin A".
3.Corrected the structure of "Mycobactin NA (Nocobactin; Nocobactin NA)" (SID00616).
4.Corrected the structure of "Mycobactin S" (SID00599).
5.Corrected the structure of "Mycobactin J" (SID00601).
6.Corrected the structure of "Mycobactin P" (SID00600).
7.Corrected the structure of "Mirubactin" (SID00224). It's worth noting that the structure of Mirubactin in PubChem is also wrong.
8.Corrected the structure of "Be-32030A" (SID00642).
9.Corrected the structure of "Be-32030B" (SID00609).
10.Corrected the structure of "Be-32030C" (SID00610).
11.Corrected the structure of "Be-32030D" (SID00608).
12.Corrected the structure of "Deferrihydroxycoprogen" (SID00375).
13.Corrected the structure of "Deferrihydroxyneocoprogen I" (SID00374).
14.Corrected the name of "Aquachelin G" (SID00282) into "Aquachelin J" (SID00282).
15.Corrected the name of "Hydroxycopropen" (SID00387) into "Hydroxycoprogen" which is a typo in 2010 siderophore review, and merge "Hydroxycoprogen" (the other name) into "Deferrihydroxycoprogen" (SID00375).
16.Removed "Corynebactin" from the other name of "Bacillibactin", assigned it to another siderophore structure produced by Corynebacterium diphtheriae, and removed the record that Corynebacterium glutamicum can produce "Bacillibactin".
17.Removed "Linear trichrysobactin" from the other name of "Frederiksenibactin", assigned it to another siderophore structure produced by Dickeya chrysanthemi.
18.Removed "Ferrirhodin" (SID00808) from the other name of "Ferrirubin" (SID00417), assigned it to another siderophore structure. The difference between the two structures is that the order of the groups connected to the double bonds on the side chains is different.
19.Changed the biosynthetic type of Anguibactin, Preacinetobactin from Hybrid NRPS/NIS into NRPS.
20.Changed the biosynthetic type of Pseudoalterobactin A, Pseudoalterobactin B, Alterobactin A, Alterobactin B, Lystabactin A, Lystabactin B, Lystabactin C from NRPS into Hybrid NRPS/PKS.
21.Changed the biosynthetic type of Siderochelin A from NIS into PKS.
22.Changed the biosynthetic type of 2,3-dihydroxybenzoic acid, Gentisic acid, Protocatechuic acid, Salicylic acid, 3,5-dihydroxybenzoic acid, Ferroverdin A-H from NIS into Other.
23.Renamed Serratiochelins A into Serratiochelin A.
24.Renamed Serratiochelins B into Serratiochelin B.
25.Renamed Serratiochelins C into Serratiochelin C.
26.Renamed Ornibactin - C4 into Ornibactin C4.
27.Renamed Ornibactin - C6 into Ornibactin C6.
28.Renamed Ornibactin - C8 into Ornibactin C8.
29.Renamed "Pyoverdine VLB120" into "Pyoverdine VLB120 Pro" because there is another siderophore "Pyoverdine VLB120 Orn" in Pseudomonas taiwanensis VLB120.
30.Updated the SMILES for the following siderophores with additional isomeric information from PubChem.
a.Marinobactin F (SID00291)

38.Deleted SID00374, SID00387, SID00003, SID00186 due to mergence.
## Update in excel
### SIDERITE_records
1. Removed "Structure" column. Users can check the pictures of siderophore structures in the website.
2. Added new columns "NCBI Species", "Taxonomy ID". "NCBI Species" is the closest taxonomy of "Species" in NCBI, because some strains or species are not found in the NCBI. For example, if it is not found at the strain level, but can be found at the species (or genus) level, we will fill in this species (or genus) in the "NCBI Species". "Taxonomy ID" is the Taxonomy ID of "NCBI Species".
3. Now "Contributor" column includes SIDERITE team members.
### SIDERITE_unique_structures
1. Changed Header into Cyanobacteriota from Cyanobacteria.
2. Changed Header into Bacillota from Firmicutes.
3. Added new Column Zoopagomycota in AM column which is a new bacteria phylum for siderophore producers.
