No bookmarks in the sidebar

At first Sidecar worked very fine, but after a complete reinstall of Chrome after getting a nasty AdWare, all bookmarks are gone from the sidebar. All bookmars are present in Crome and the only place they don't show is in SideCar sidebar.

How can I get SideCar to show my bookmarks?

Hi Steffen, 

Sorry your having trouble. That is a strange issue. Sidecar reads bookmarks straight from Chrome's own bookmarks. Would you mind trying to delete sidecar from your extensions completely and resonating it from the chrome store?

Hi again!

I've tried several times uninstalling and reinstalling Chrome without it making any difference. I have tried installing Chrome on a second computer and when chrome syncs it's setting Sidecar is automatically added and works like a charm. It's only on my beloved laptop Sidecar won't work.
