In 2003, U.S. General Wesley Clark announced with surprise and shock that the White House planned to attack seven majority-Muslim countries: Iraq, followed by Syria, Lebanon, Libya, Iran, Somalia and Sudan.
This plan had its roots in a report called A Clean Break: A New Strategy for Securing the Realm, a policy document prepared in 1996 by a study group led by Richard Perle for Benjamin Netanyahu, the then–prime minister of Israel.
Events have closely tracked this strategy. Anyone who doubts the enormous power that Israel and its lobby have over American foreign policy should read this report.
