With Silicon Valley’s AI bubble vandalizing the public sphere for profit at breakneck speed, it’s never been more important to fund high-quality investigative journalism.

The old models of corporate-owned journalism are collapsing, and Ricochet Media is well positioned to help fill the void. This year we added two new professionally produced podcasts, including a new investigative series exposing the organized efforts to silence critics of Israel in Canada. As a founding editor and volunteer board member, I'm reaching out to ask for your help in sustaining Ricochet Media. 

Here is the great news: Ricochet can now offer tax receipts to donors. We were just granted Registered Journalism Organization status — one of only five English-language outlets to earn this type of charitable status. That means you get around fifty cents back on every dollar you donate, and if you donate before the end of the month, you can deduct it on this year’s taxes.

We need to raise $20,000 by Dec. 31st and to add 100 new monthly sustaining donors.
