Hi Guys, I seriously am in a desperate situation regarding my S21 Ultra. Apparently I forgot my screen lock password, I am currently locked out. SMARTTHINGS find decided to no longer being SMART, Remote unlock is no longer available, Erase Data is not working (I can ring my phone through SMARTTHINGS). Google Find My Device, also doesn't allow me to erase the device, but to worsen the situation, it looks like recovery mode is not working as well.
I have read almost every possible way to load recovery mode, watch countless of youtube videos, but doesn't seem to work. I am pretty sure I am doing the right combinations but it seems I am still missing something
@Verpz: I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing this issue with your Galaxy S21 Ultra. Did you make sure to power off your device prior to your attempt to access Recovery mode? With your device connected to a PC/laptop via USB cable, Recovery mode should be accessible by pressing and holding the Volume Up and Power buttons simultaneously until the device powers on, and the Recovery mode menu is displayed. If the problem persists, then please head to samsung.com > Scroll to the bottom of the screen > Contact us, and get in touch with our Support Team via your preferred contact method, and an advisor can arrange for an engineer to unlock the device for you. Please be aware that proof of purchase/proof of ownership will be required, as your query relates to a security feature on the device. I apologise for any inconvenience this may cause you.
Hi! Could you recover your device? Did you reset it? I`m with some problems with my S 21 FE: I forgot my pin and Im trying NOT TO RESET but unlock the phone because of data loss. Could you give me some advices how to lead with this awful situation? =(
Thanks
I have Samsung Galaxy S (GT-I9000) and I've installed Cyanogenmod 10 M2. I can reboot into recovery from Cyanogenmod (Hold Power button, select Reboot and Recovery). However, I cannot boot directly to recovery holding Volume up + Power or Volume up + Home + Power when the phone is powered down.
Do I need to do something to the phone hardware to get some button combination to boot to recovery mode? As far as I know, the button combination I've tried is the correct one for this device. I can boot to download mode with Volume down + Power.
If you fail to release the power button before the second boot display, you cannot get it to go into the recovery mode. Instead it will enter the normal boot sequence which seems to fail if you keep holding the Power button. On the other hand, if you don't keep buttons pressed long enough, it will enter the normal boot sequence, again. I haven't figured out if holding the Home button is really required but at least it does not prevent entering the recovery mode.
This is the most common and the easiest way to boot into recovery on your smartphone as it doesn't need any additional tools or software. The process may differ slightly depending on your device manufacturer, but it should generally be the same. To enter the recovery mode on an Android phone:
Some devices, including the Samsung Galaxy phones, will require you to hold the volume up and power button instead of the volume down. If your Samsung Galaxy phone has a Bixby button, then you must hold that down as well.
Once you are in the Recovery mode, you can use the volume buttons to navigate the menu options and press the power button to select. You won't see the same set of options in the Recovery menu of each phone, so don't go in expecting to see a barrage of menu items. Some phones like the ones sold by OnePlus only have a limited number of options, whereas Google's Pixel phones, for instance, have the option to enter fastboot, etc.
If you have a rooted Android device, you can easily boot into recovery using apps like Recovery Reboot. You just have to open the app and grant root access, following which you'll find the option to boot into recovery. Many custom ROMs also offer the option to boot directly into the recovery mode from within the power menu.
To boot your S10 into recovery mode, you'll first need to turn off your device. After you've powered it down completely, press and hold on both the volume up and Bixby buttons (the button just beneath the volume rocker), then press and hold the power button.
i did the power down plus bixby and power button, even the up vol and bixby and power it wont load boot mode, unless i need to set some seting in developer opton? it has knox 3.7 built in it, my phone is mdel number: SM-G977B
For download - hold down vol down + bixby + power. Release power when you see the Samsung logo, the device should boot into download mode. You can also access download through recovery ('Reboot to Bootloader').
