SIC Alumni!

Hello, my dears!

The Summit 2013 was so inspiring and it was lovely to see so many
alums back home s(ic)weet home.

Anyways, it made us all realize that we really should have an alumni
mailing list going. We have a vision for a monthly newsletter and a
LinkedIn Group, so what we need from you all are current email
addresses for any SIC alumni you can remember. Or! Even if you have
old membership lists, that would be wonderful. (I'm envisioning mad
Googlespreadsheet sharing.)

Here is the list of members and join dates from the SIC Alumni
Googlegroup...it's a bit short.

Yes blog! Yes participation! Yes SIC! 

So far, the things we have in place for ways to keep SIC alumni connected :

1. Googlegroup- created by Ryan, who is actively adding all suggestions to the roster and also going to make Li an admin for now

2. LinkedIn page- created by Li (who is a LinkedIn newb {but really, I have whistling listed as my only skill, this thing is worse than my Myspace page} and so maybe could use someone savvy as an administrator as well)

Goal items to keep SIC alumni connected:

1. Monthly email newsletter- perhaps a joint responsibility for Communications and VP (Jane and Li now, the two SIC exec positions without "boards" of their own currently)

2. Periodic alumni oriented blogpost- perhaps current SIC members assigned to contact alumni to ask them what they are up to and write a feature on them? Maybe even have an alum guest write a blog post for the SIC blog?

Yes thoughts!

I'm in the process of thinking about the best way to use the blog going forward, but I can work with Li and reach out to you guys when I've figured out some sort of method.
