Hi everyone,

It's a big email. Hunker down. You'll be rewarded at the end. Promise.

Quick reminder:
- Next meeting is SUNDAY May 26 at 4:30pm EST. Please hop on the call early so we can start promptly.
- Unless it's changed (MAGEN?) Conference Dial-in Number:  (424) 203-8400  Participant Access Code: 527469#
- Please please please review the research we all did. Spending 10 minutes on this before the meeting will save us oodles of time. That's right. Oodles.

Here's the draft agenda. Please review and send edits by 3pm on Saturday. Thanks.

ROUGH DRAFT AGENDA

1. Intro/check in (6 minutes)
- We're a team. Let's see how our weeks went. Any good news to share?
- Pick a note taker (This will be key since we'll be throwing out lots of ideas and making plans).
- Any new SB info? New team member!
- Assign roles: Lead the meeting (Stephanie), Person who tracks what our outcomes will be (aka the document, presentation etc), Person who keeps the State Department Goals in mind, Person who keeps SB's goals in mind, Person who keeps Imerative's goals in mind. By having one person be "in charge" of each of these components, we can be sure that all needs will be met. It doesn't mean you are responsible for these, it just means that you keep their needs in mind as we move forward. This can change once we hit NYC if needed.

2. Foundation (6 min)
- Quick 1 min review of what SB is asking us to do (Konrad?) so we're all refreshed and on the same page.
- From my understanding, we're creating a solution. Imperative will take it and tweak it and then work w/ CSO to impliment it. Does that sound right????? (We can discuss this during the meeting).
- Recap: What's the goal and what do we need to create (documents, presentations)? What's the criteria? (measurable, social enterprise focused? etc) Who is the audience- CSO/Imperative/other?
- Before we get into the details, discuss the model we'll use (Design thinking, lean start up, other?). How does Imperative approach things and can we model after them? Do we just wing it?

3. Research Recap (6 min)
- We shouldn't spend too much time on this, since we've had access to the info since Wednesday. What are the key takeaways? Any lingering questions (in terms of the project or the research)?

4. Brainstorm: Define the specific problem... (15 min)
- Where do we start? Pick a specific problem to tackle.
- Our goal is to walk away from this meeting w/ a clear understanding of the problem so, lets be real about this. Let's all agree and be fully behind our decision to focus on that specific problem.
- The problem we pick should have a solution that will end up being a ripple effect across the entire region. What's an issue that's apparent and important to One Community that, if addressed/solved, could then be applied to other communitities and then would make a big impact on the whole area? Grassroots style, perhaps? The thing we tackle could be part of a "bigger picture problem (like oil related things)" as long as we are addressing the parts of it that directly impact the local people (like it's impact on the environment or jobs). <--just a random example. We'll discuss all this at the meeting.

5. Brainstorm: Solution... UNLEASH THE AWESOME (20 min)
- Once we've got the model that we'll use to approach the problem, the research to be familiar and the acutal problem itself, let's work on solutions!
- Remember we need to: track metrics, be aware of "unintended reprocussions", use existing resources, not involve international donors or use extra means, engage community members, consider scalablitlity etc

6. Next Steps (6 min)
- Create this week's To Do list (research? create another google doc? interviewing folks?)
- Assign roles
- be honest about time commitment etc
- remember our next meeting is June 2nd, and we won't really work on this stuff again until we meet in person so let's get as much done this week as we can before things get Crazy.

You've made it to the end of the email. Congrats.
Reward: A Random Inspirational Video.
If I could chose any way to stand in front of a group to inspire them, I'd do what this kid did. ;)

Happy Friday, y'all.
- Stephanie
