Windows Media Player Visual Studio

HiI wanted to kindly ask for an explanation on how to start audio files on windows media player with Arduino. I need a sketch that randomly selects files from a folder and runs them with media player. I have read the previous threads on this topic but still I haven't understood how to make the two of them communicate.

your simple line of communication between a windows pc and an arduino is a serial connection. if you plug an arduino board into a PC with a USB cable windows automatically recocnizes it as an available serial communication port.

you would then need to install visual studio to write your windows program that would talk to your arduino through the serial connection. if you write your windows program in c# then there is a library for talking to a serial port and also simple functions built in to make windows media player play a file (or make any program open any file). the sky is the limit once you have an executable windows PC program receiving instructions from an arduino.

i am using a Codesys version(3.5.16.40). I want to show the video in codesys visu. I could have shown the video in a webbrowser widget of codesys visu but the filesize is bigger and my controller memory is not big. I will connect a usb stick to the controller and from there i can play the video. Since codesys plays the video only if the video is stored in the visu folder i dont find any other possibility to play video. Now i want to test test it with the activeX element but i never used it. There is a control named WindowsmediaPlayer.ocx but i dont know the compatibilty. I have made a wrapper class in c# usign Wmp library in visual studio but next step i am not sure how to integrate in the codesys so that i can play the video. I am desperatly looking for a solution. If anyone has already done something like that or has anyone any idea about it. Please do comment it would be a great help. Thanks in advance

I'm having problems with the visualization on the windows media player legacy. it works for the first song but when it goes to the next song the visualization freezes up, but you can hear it still playing. it is set on alchemy, random for the music visualization.
