So how do you disable related videos from YouTube embeds? Well, it's pretty easy. While there is no way to completely turn off related videos, you can limit them to your channel only. Read our blog below or watch the video we created above to learn how to do this on your website.

Depending on your content management system (CMS) or website-hosting platform, you might embed videos differently by using a widget and just pasting in the URL. If that is the case, check to see if there is a checkbox that limits suggested videos. Capture uses Webflow so we can simply click on a box to automatically add the ?rel=0 code. You can do the same thing using Elementor.

Unfortunately, YouTube does not allow you to completely remove related videos, you can only limit them to your channel. If you are looking for a way to embed a video on your website without any related videos, ads, or noise, we recommend checking out Streamable. It's a great alternative to Vimeo and other video hosting solutions.

I am not looking for a free product. I am paying webflow, I am paying a lot of tools. What I found is that youtube remove the fact that ?rel=0 remove all more videos, now it only removes related videos not all of them

Another option is hosting your videos on Vimeo, the only limitation on free account is 500mb/month upload (at least it was long time ago). Advantage: no ads, no video suggestions after video ends. Vimeo offers player customisation on paid accounts. Vimeo is mostly used by artists so it may be a way to go.

And in the code that Stan reference me I did some changes like I put -nocookie.com/embed/videoseries?list=$playlistId&autoplay=1&rel=0, replace: v.dataset.id for v.dataset.playlist, and Stan did a function showVideo that was calling a video ID and title changed it for a playlistID.

Back in 2018 YouTube changed the way their embed codes work on third-party sites. It happened quite quietly, and without much announcement but its rather an important shift in how YouTube embeds behave so we thought we had better explore how this changes your sites relationship with YouTube and how you might use video embeds moving forward.

If you play the above video through to the end of the video you will notice you get lots of related videos that YouTube deems relevant to you. Clicking on any of these options will open up a new browser tab taking you away from our website and into YouTube.

The technical research revealed that after 5-6 hours on the TikTok platform, almost 1 in 2 videos shown were mental health-related and potentially harmful, roughly 10 times the volume served to accounts with no interest in mental health.

Children and young people interviewed in Kenya said that they felt their TikTok use affected their schoolwork, social time with friends and led them to scroll through their feeds late at night instead of catching enough sleep.

I use TikTok primarily for entertainment. TikTok is a platform that allows you to watch a variety of short videos. While other social media such as Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram would focus on texts or images, TikTok really capitalizes on videos.

In the European Union and European Economic Area (EEA) countries the protection of privacy rights and the regulation of social networks for children and young people have become priority issues in recent years. Data protection laws impose strong restrictions on the collection and use of personal information by platforms. These regulations have the main objective of protecting the privacy of users and ensuring that companies operate in an ethical and responsible manner.

TikTok is taking concrete steps to protect children under the age of 18 in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland from certain abuses, such as banning targeted personalised advertising aimed at this demographic. This clearly demonstrates that the platform can function without relying on these abusive elements in its business.

In Argentina and other countries in the global south, inequalities in the regulation of social networks are evident. The privacy policies used by TikTok are more data extractive for children under the age of 18, because regulation or enforcement of existing regulation is weaker. This creates a significant gap in privacy protection that becomes more evident every day and marks an important alert to demand action.

The disparity in regulation raises important questions about global inequality in the digital age. Why can the same platforms operate with different standards in different parts of the world? Why does TikTok respect the rights of children in Europe more than in other parts of the world?

The social inequalities and disparity relationships that have been evident globally for many years are now being recreated in digital environments. And in an era where the lives of most children and young people are intertwined with technology, it is essential to demand adequate and equal protection for all.
