Trying to upgrade the subscription as well. I just cancelled the Basic subscription on iTunes but it says I still have access to my subscription until July 19. So I guess I have to wait until then to change my subscription to the Premium package. And since the ATV4 does not support 4K or Dolby Atmos, I may just have to subscribe using my XB1S.

Netflix has a new service which they now provide which includes 4k content. There is an additional charge for this service. I want to purchase the new service with 4K content but, iTunes does not give me the option to purchase the service. I have spoken with Netflix customer service and they cannot upgrade my service because it is billed through iTunes. What's interesting is iTunes will sell the service in their store with 4k content if you are a new account subscriber To Netflix through iTunes. So why hasn't anyone at iTunes updated the offering to existing Netflix customers who purchased the service through iTunes before the 4k content was available.

The deal is, we need to get your question moved to the forum where you might get the quickest and best help - your question has been posted in a relatively low traffic forum - Using ASC (How to use this website) - and we need the aforementioned to best ask our gracious Hosts to move it appropriately.

This applies to all of my apple devices....ipad, Apple tv, iPhone....the issue is with the iTunes store....they offer the Netflix service....it's not a hardware/software issue....it is to do with purchasing a new type of service with Netflix through the iTunes store. Hence, my description of upgrading my Netflix account to include streaming of 4k content. Hope that helps identify the issue.

OK !! Big picture complete... now of this goes to the "iTunes Store" forum. It should end up near the top of the list. I did search around a bit for a similar issue, and nothing leaped off the title list of results, so it may be a new or specific to you issue.

I've got exactly the same problem. No option to upgrade to 4K through a iTunes Netflix account. When you try to do it through a web browser direct with netflix, it says it worked, but it does not change anything. Spent three days trying to do this. Apple say ' talk to Netflix' Netflix say 'talk to Apple'. Currently on hold to Netflix (currently 13mins despite them telling me it would be one min). Might be better to cancel my subscription and try another route to 4K. Don't bother subscribing to Netflix through iTunes, it does not work for 4K UHD. I'm might to try direct to Netflix or another 4K service. Somebody please tell me I have got this wrong.

If you read the fine print on the Netflix site, it says if you subscribed to the basic plan through iTunes before I think May 2014, then you have to cancel your subscription and resubscribe to be able to upgrade your account. I'm not sure why, probably they are phasing out letting people go thru iTunes, I'm guessing because Apple takes a fee and because they grandfathered us on the old plan price, so if you do this, you'd have to pay the extra $1 per month if you wanted to go back to the basic plan. The problem I have with this is that I worry I will lose my list, and all the data as far as suggestions based on what I've watched.

Note:Customers whose membership began before 5/10/2014 are only able to access the 2 screens plan. If these customer would like to change their plan, they must cancel through iTunes and then restart their account through iTunes. Customers whose memberships started on or after 5/10/2014 are able to see all available plans and have the option to change plans through iTunes.

I am having the exact same issue, even when netflix was reset so as virgin not paying and then relinked the account, still stuck as standard with netflix which I cannot change but showing as premium with virgin ( and paying the extra 5). Have been trying to sort with virgin, 5 calls so far with no solution!

Thanks for your first post and welcome to our Community.
Sorry to hear you are having an issue with the Netflix charges.
I'd like to take a look into this for you.
If you don't mind, I will need to send you a private message to pass security.
If you can check your logo at the top right of your screen that would be great.

As I've no options for to upgrade or downgrade so as it's a fully flexible package it's seems rather odd especially as it can't be upgraded through Netflix themselves either as it's BT/EE TV that manages the account...

Absolutely I agree but it doesn't show the management box for netflix at all in my manage TV extras but i can manage everything else that's included with VIP/The WORKS as it's now called I'm hugely disappointed with the service from BT especially given the premium price we pay for the packages.

I've been asking about this since October and I had the TV package removed as it's an ongoing issue as was being told 2 old accounts had been closed off but they clearly hadn't been it's dreadful really is.

I suspect @roger4269 there is an issue with your account . (I can see options to manage Netflix on MYBT so the functionality to manage still seems there.) Who managed your account fixes in October , was it the TV experts or Mods on the community or the normal customer service team ?

I've paid good money from October for the TV package untill I said enough is enough but obviously not said everything was fixed so I gave it another go & placed the order and it to be honest I'm absolutely sick of it now as not had anything refunded for the TV service since day 1 either it's a shambles plus I had to fix my own broadband issues too after the BT open reach technician couldn't fix it....

This is probably me being stupid, but I've just noticed that, despite activating a Netflix addon on my account, and adding the premium upgrade, which i've been paying for months, I've also been paying full price to Netflix in addition. I assume this means I haven't successfully linked my EE and Netflix accounts, but I can't work out how to do this now. It's been a bit of a wild few months with moving home and my wife giving birth to our second so I've just not noticed that this has been happening but looks like I'm throwing money away. I've now cancelled the premium upgrade payment to EE but it means I'm not saving the money I could be by utilising the Netflix addon

Thank you for that. I can see in my Netflix account, it's telling me that my ee payment stopped in September, though I've been paying EE the whole time for the upgrade and I've never instructed ee to stop the benefit.

Its highest-quality ad-free tier may be expensive, but Netflix remains one of the best streaming services, and getting an HDR upgrade to boost performance on the best 4K TVs could help soothe the pain Premium subscribers might be feeling as the service once again puts the squeeze on their wallets.

Need help guys. Just upgraded to Win11 and netflix does not stream on 4k at all. Everything was proper on Win10. I have 4k HDR compliant display, HDCP 2.2 compliant, Updated Gfx drivers, etc. Have the 4k plan set to High. When I search Netflix, it shows me the 4k label against the title but then it only plays 1080p.

Hi, I do not have Netflix on my Sky Glass but I have everything else, sports, Cinema, Ultra HD. I have looked on here and it looked like it would be 6 for me to add Netflix on and I would get the premium version as I was already paying for Ultra HD. I just called Sky to upgrade and they want 5 for Netflix with Ads, 10 for Standard and 15 for premium. Could someone please explain? Thanks

This is a recent change to Netflix with Sky. On Q it used to be that if you added HD to your subscription you would get Netflix Standard. Adding UHD would get you Netflix Premium. This is now no longer the case. You need to pay extra on Q for additional levels of Netflix, on top of HD/UHD.

On Sky Stream and Sky Glass the Netflix subscription tiers have always been an extra charge, regardless of you paying for UHD/Atmos. It used to be 8 for Netflix Premium but this has recently increased to 15.

With the upgrade to FF 61, I finally got Fox News Channel streaming to work on FF. I have streamed Netflix on FF for years. Now I have to watch Netflix on Microsoft Edge. These continuing video issues with FF are getting tiresome. I get error code F7121-1331-P7 Solutions anyone?
