In the Maps app , you can look around some places with 360-degree panoramic views. For example, you can take a virtual walk through the streets or orient yourself to landmarks you can use to navigate when you get to your destination.

Google Maps' Street View allows you to better visualize the area you're traveling through with 360 imagery. You can look around, scope out the streets, and even digitally visit landmarks. Here's how to see the Street View on Google Maps using your iPhone or iPad and how to troubleshoot it when it's not working

I've been using google maps street view for work. Foolishly I updated apps yesterday and the new version of google maps does not have street view. I have an older version on my iphone that still has street view, also my wife has an older version of google maps on her ipad that has street view.

Can I use imazing to get my iphone version of google maps onto my ipad, or can I use imazing to get the google maps version from my wife's ipad onto my ipad (we have different apple accounts)?
I appreciate any assistance.

iMazing can only download/archive the current version from the App Store. It can't grab the software from another device as the software in the device is encrypted in a way that makes it only decipherable on the device that downloaded it.

It can do this if your wife has a backup of her iPad which includes the .ipa file of the maps app.
The backup is located in an iTunes subfolder (called mobile applications iirc).
That feature is part of the free trial version
(at least it was when I used it 2 years ago)

I'm pretty sure that's correct. But, it may be possible if that person also signs in on the other device. My wife still has one app on her iPad that we somehow bought with my Apple ID. It still works, but when we restored to a new device (using Apple/iCloud restore), it prompted me to log in just for that app.

So, if I could use my iphone google maps .ipa, I would download the free imazing app onto my computer, then do an iphone backup to the computer from the imazing Manage Apps screen?
Then when I connect my ipad to the computer I could load the google maps .ipa into my ipad somehow?

Err.. Careful here. iMazing does not backup apps from a device; the device doesn't have the ipa, just the installed copy, customized for the device. iMazing downloads the current app version from the App Store. So, you need to plan ahead in order to win, like @wim's big list, ready just in case.

Wow! Thank you! That was a simple fix, yes it works in portrait mode. I have my iPad in landscape mode on a stand and I never thought to check portrait mode. I really appreciate your help. I appreciate everybody here who took the time to help me today. Cheers.

To use Look Around, find a supporting address in Apple Maps. If the feature is available, you'll see a binocular icon. Swipe to change your view, and tap on the street/path to move around.

Another issue that I have (which applies to many in-game kneeboards and EFBs) is that they are accessible only via MSFS. Yes, they can be detached from the game to a separate window but this triggers the known performance issue which causes severe fps dropdowns. We really need to be able to run these kneeboard apps independently of the sim. Not everyone cares about VR but (hopefully) most do care about kneeboards in general.

(note 1: I sussed this bit out from how little nav map does the web server)
(note 2 : ignore the extra spaces in those URLs as I put them in to stop this forum from trying to create hypertext links)

Excellent. Did you try out all features and do they still work? Because I remember watching a video where the reviewer mentioned that he got it working on an iPad but unfortunately some features like the moving maps did not work correctly on the tablet.

You should be right. And it could be interesting to have a try using a Web Browser on another Windows PC on the same local network. It could also be something like hard coded non relative URLs with 127.0.0.1 base host.

Google Maps is a GPS application you can use to navigate from one location to another. You can change between list view and street view and you can use Google Maps to find companies. You can use Google Maps using an application on your device. Follow these instructions to use Google Maps.
You need to set up your device for internet to use this function. Click here for information on how to set up your device for internet.

If you don't want to use the Google Maps application, you can use your device's browser: open the browser and connect to

Great instructions as always Ray
Is it possible to download entire continents such as North America etc or even just the USA in its entirety rather than having to select all the squares manually?

You can actually toggle the DEM map separately. So you could just add the OSM maps in there as you want (should have plenty of room for both), and then just got into the menus and toggle which layers you want, including (or not including) the DEM map.

The gmaptool.eu maps definitely do include DEM data. There are routable topo maps available for everywhere except Europe. I have used the Southern Africa, Southeast Africa, East Africa and Southwest USA maps both on fēnix 5X and in Basecamp. They are very high quality.

Hello and thanks,
Silly question maybe, what is the use of dowloading a free map on my Edge 820 which already has got one?
Are the ones you mention more precise? It looks you are saying no (in terms of rendering) so really I was wondering.
Thanks!
