Just a reminder that today Sunday, June 10th is the official opening of the redesign of Jean Sibelius Square, our Annex park at Kendal/Wells/Brunswick. We will be celebrating with music and a BBQ! So, bring a neighbour, and enjoy the music and food.
We are looking forward to hearing a group of talented musicians playing today.
Jordan Pollack will be opening the celebration at 3:30 on acoustic guitar playing folk rock.
The band, GENERAL, GENERAL will perform afterward. This band includes local talent from Olive Avenue (Ben and Wyatt) and a member from Ottawa (Landen).
General General is a band based in Montreal, with roots in Seaton Village. More importantly, they're four friends who like to play music together. Though they could be called a rock band, they draw from a wide range of styles using an equally wide range of instruments. Councillor Adam Vaughan will also be on hand to say a few words and cut the ribbon.
