How I thank the Lord for your prayers-and those in the small group of us that meet for prayer before church each Sunday morning. That group prayed, "Lord may the surgery go even better than the best that is expected." And the Lord has answered that prayer!

The jawbone did not break, there were no nerves damaged causing numbness of left side of lip, chin, or tongue and the bone itself while very thin was not infected. What does that mean? One thing of great interest to me-instead of 5-6 months without a lower denture to enable chewing, "only" 3-4 months! (It is amazing how good 3-4 months sounds after the dire prognosis of 5-6.)

There was never any severe pain from the surgery, none that extra strength Tylenol couldn't handle and I only took it twice in the hospital. Slurping, sipping, talking, and laughing hurt a bit and more if done in excess, but overall I am pain free. I slept extremely well last night, especially with no 2 a.m. blood pressure measurements needed. While I'm a bit tire/weary today and maybe a bit unbalanced (though many would say that was a chronic problem), not feeling badly at all.

Please rejoice and praise the Lord with me, that He has chosen outcome. We would need to do so, even if He had chosen the more "dire" results, but I'm glad He didn't.

Love and appreciate you all,

Linda
