Hi All,
My college has a rare opportunity to help launch and grow a program in support of the sciences at a young and growing community college.
Northeast Lakeview College (NLC) is starting a Supplemental Instruction program to support our Anatomy & Physiology and basic Chemistry courses. We’re looking for an Academic Program Specialist who can take initiative and work with faculty and administration to develop a program that positively impacts PGR and promotes student success. This full-time position would also help to oversee the Science Study Center, an open study center space for natural sciences.
Northeast Lakeview College is a community college in north San Antonio, the newest of the five colleges in the Alamo district. It was approved for accreditation in 2017 and designated an Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI) in 2021. NLC has been recognized for Performance Excellence (2018), Trusted Leadership (2019), and as a Promising Place to Work (2020). The college is actively growing and reaching out to help students succeed.
The Academic Program Specialist position is open to a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with teaching experience in Biology and/or Chemistry, knowledge of online homework systems such as Pearson/ McGraw-Hill, or experience in lab research preferred. Pay scale is in the 40s with full benefits, including tuition reimbursement.
