Hello and Happy Holidays!

A quick reminder for you: If you have left over cash (ok, someone somewhere does!) in your budget ending next month, and want to use it for professional development activities, consider NCLCA’s webinar series.

At this point, 2022 will be full of new and exciting topics to support you in running your learning center. The special 3pkg of webinars is just $250 and will allow you to have up to 8 people attend 3 webinars during the year. This means you could technically have 24 different people participate in 1.5 hours of professional development for less than $7/hr each with no travel costs incurred. (Each webinar is approx. 1.5 hrs in length, so 8 attending three sessions will be 36 hours’ worth of pd for just $250). Interested? Contact me using Webi...@NCLCA.ORG for more details and an invoice.

If you don’t have that much, consider our many recordings found in the catalog available at NCLCA.ORG/Webinars https://nclca.wildapricot.org/webinars/

These recordings range from $0 to $35 each, allowing for your use next year to share with all staff on campus. The purchase will contain the PowerPoint presentation and many have the recording of the presentation along with all hand-out material. Again, more info is available in the catalog. These can be purchased directly through the online store (https://nclca.square.site/product/webinars-past-and-upcoming/2?cs=true)   or by contacting me for an invoice (payment must be completed prior to fulfillment). A link of the files will be sent to you shortly after purchase and must be used within 7 days of receipt (please plan accordingly).

Some of the 50 topics include:

Bias education for tutors: Establishing a safe, supporting environment

How emotional intelligence and mindset help students to succeed.

Know The Signs: Helping Managers Support Their Staff Struggling with Mental Health Issues.

Managing in the face of change: A learning center leader's guide.

Supporting students with disabilities in the learning center.

Yes! Supplemental Instruction (SI) DOES work online!

Once again, please contact me via Webi...@NCLCA.ORG for more info after reviewing the catalog where more info is available.

Best wishes to each of you!

David
