NCLCA Partner Webinar with Tutor.com: Thought Leaders in Student Support: How SNHU and SPC Are Transforming Higher Education

At a moment of declining enrollments in higher education, Southern New Hampshire University and St. Petersburg College are doing something extraordinary: they're increasing student engagement and persistence. In this mini-conference, leaders at both institutions will share their insights into why a student-centered approach to academic support leads to increased and barrier-free access to help students persist in their academic pursuits. Event host and mutual partner Tutor.com will also present proven strategies for implementing effective academic support models. There will be a live Q&A at the end.

For those of you who have SI Leaders with a couple of "office hours" weekly in addition to their SI Group. . .

How are you counting those visits? As part of the SI or something else?  The treatment would not be that of an SI Group. It is far more akin to walk-in assistance, but assessment is complicated if we need to separate the visits between SI and walk-in.

I appreciate you taking the time to respond!

Hi M.E.,

We use TutorTrac (now TracCloud) for all of our attendance records, where we can create different reason codes. We have one reason code named "PASS Session" and one named "PASS Office Hours." We only report on the sessions, not the office hours, in our grade comparison reports.

Thanks,
Kristen
