Subject: SHSFG Meetings and Book Club and England match avoidance

Dear all,

You are invited to the TUesday Discord meeting of the SHSFG at the Two Phil's Arms from 20:00.  A reminder of the online and in person meeting schedule is below:

To keep you all appraised of the meeting schedules they are:

1st Tuesday - Discord meeting (No in Person Meeting that week).

2nd Tuesday - In Person Meeting PORTSMOUTH.  ( Discord  meet will be on the WEDNESDAY that week). 

3rd Tuesday - In Person Meeting GOSPORT  ( Discord  meet will be on the WEDNESDAY that week).

4th Tuesday- In Person Meeting PORTSMOUTH ( Discord meet will be on the WEDNESDAY that week).

5th Tuesday -   Discord meeting - No In Person Meeting

Could I also remind people that there are announcements below and if they wish to know what events are happening, that information can be obtained by continuing to read this email....

Book Clubs

The in person book club choice falls to Jasper whose choice is to be announced, and the online book club choice is Diana's choice. Diana has chosen The Tainted Cup by  Robert Jackson Bennet.

World cup clashes

Some football fixtures will clash with SHSFG meetings in June.

On 09th June there are no clashes so suggest in person meeting goes ahead as normal.

On 16th June the Gosport meeting has a clash with the France Vs Senegal match at 20.00. It's up to regular Gosport attendees if they want to risk a pub meet with this match on, it's not likely to be a massive crowd magnet for the pub.

On 23rd June there is Portugal vs Uzbekistan at 16:00 and England vs Ghana at 20:00. I suggest the Brewhouse pub will not be viable for a meeting on this date. Mike has suggested meeting at the West Street Alehouse in Fareham as it is without a TV. Warning it closes about 9.00pm so be there early if you want to meet up.

I suggest online calls go ahead as normal.

Online Meetings

If you don't have a Discord account just download the app and ask me, Phil T or Mike Cheater for an invite to the SHSFG server and we'll send you an invite that links to the SHSFG server so you can still participate. 

I will still be sending out weekly reminders of meeting and book clubs.

I hope to see you there at one of these events.
