We are considering having an in-person, outdoor meetup for June.  No game, but to get people back into socializing again.

Still working out details, but it would likely be a Saturday early afternoon.

Comments and suggestions will be greatly helpful.

So I'm definitely interested. I would suggest a picnic would be best.  Normally the day would be June 12th, though I think we can be flexible to consider the 19th or even the 26th depending on folks' preferences.

If we get a crowd, I'd definitely spring for some pizza :)

I'm looking at the 19th with the 26th as a backup date, from 1pm - 4pm.

This will be a social meet-up, with room for old members/potential new members as well as kids.

As for location...

Jones Point Park was the first place that popped up as potentially central to people, and it the benefit of letting people stand at the intersection of DC, MD, and VA where they meet at a point.

Wolf Trap has always been someplace I've wanted to go, and I don't see any events scheduled for that day so it shouldn't be crowded?

Any other suggestions?  I'd like to get a location nailed down by this weekend if possible.

Alexandria requires those from the north and west to traverse far inside 495.

There is also Cabin John Park, close to 495. We don't need a big park. Just one with grills and picnic tables. That old park by Celia's we used to play Garou at would work, or anything like that.

Yeah I was trying to find someplace on or just off 495, but I admit I only know a few Virginia locations.

I also don't know which park by Celia's you mean, but that's out near Reston if I remember right?  Unless you mean Great Falls?

And a quick search shows Cabin John as being close to Great Falls and the border of VA and MD.  Might be a good place.
