Nothing is more dangerous than hope.

It presents itself in unexpected ways, taunting you with a chance with success. Do you reach out to grab it, to exploit it for all it's worth? Or do you wait and watch from the shadows.

It has been two weeks since the lockdowns were lifted. The city is quiet. Too quiet. Anarch gangs continue to go missing and incommunicado, but there are no hunter patrols roaming the streets. In fact, there's no sign of hunters at all. Even so, feeding is still difficult. Citizens are on guard, and the police are still in edge from the loss of their officers against the fanatics. The more affluent citizens in the area have demanded increased patrols in their neighborhoods and for the most part, local law enforcement and city leaders have acquiesced to this demand. What's there to lose from a little more security? As a result, some neighborhoods have been neglected completely; while this hasn't caused an increase in crime, it has provided an opportunity for the Vampires in the area.

The Mount Pleasant/Adams Morgan neighborhood in DC has become a relatively safe place to feed. Few patrols, an entire zoo full of animals that can't report when they've been bitten, and plenty of bodies make for easy feeding if you're cautious and careful. Not to mention, the Nightlife there is amazing. What's living forever without a bit of fun?

Adam's Morgan is designated as a Rack.
