SHPE Officer Nominations/Special Election

Good evening!

After our successful Kickoff meeting on 9/1/10 @ Centro's Restaurant,
there were multiple individuals interested in the vacant Outreach
Coordinator position. The Executive Board met and decided to split
the OC's duties to create 2 new positions as follows:

1. Outreach Coordinator/University Liaison: Coordinate activities/
programs with area universities, colleges and community (2-year)
colleges.

2. Outreach Coordinator/K-12 Education: Coordinate activities/programs
with local area K-12 schools.

As a reminder, nominated individuals (self-nominated or by another
person) must be paid members. Also, only paid members may vote in the
special election. Nominations are open for the next 10 days (closing
Oct. 1st COB). Individuals will also have until October 1st to
resolve unpaid status. On Monday, October 4th, an electronic ballot
will be emailed ONLY to paid members as verified on OneSHPE website.
UNPAID INDIVIDUALS NOMINATED WILL BE EXCLUDED FROM THE BALLOT.
