PLease  give me your comments/suggestions/corrections or  any adding.
Thank you

THESE BASIC CONCEPTS ARE:

-Islam orders us to  keep healthy and safe during fasting
-If one is ill  or sick , he/she is allowed not to fast
It is allowance given in the Qur'an with an illness
No  sick Muslim should PUSH HARD(over his/her ability and capacity) to fast while is ill
-No fasting if illness gets worse or causes more pain and suffering or is risky to life
-No fasting if there is any worry or suspicion regarding the illness during Ramadan.
-Best to judge and advice on fasting to any patient with an illness is the family doctor/GP
especially if he/she is a pious Muslim doctor.
Or the specialist doctor who is an expert on the illness.
-Some  illnesses or diseases get better by fasting
-Fasting by itself makes us more healthy(I have  my 3 TV shows on that)
-For Diabetes:
*Some will need insulin during the day...No fasting
* Some can adjust the dose of insulin with Iftar/Suhour and night and carry on fasting
*Many can carry on fasting and take the tablets at Iftar/Suhour for Diabetes 2
*Some can carry on fasting and "treating" or protecting their Diabetes by  choosing the  right diet only
* whatever the decision:
If there is any worry or suspicion ...no fasting
We need to watch well the  diet /food  eaten during Ramadan
We need to be very aware and careful regarding the  sudden serious complication : Hypoglycaemia
(low blood sugar)???..here handy sugar or sweets should be available.
* is useful to have daily check up of the level of Glucose in the blood(home test machine)

We have to remember that DU'AS/PRAYER/RUKYA and SADAKAH are effective in treating any illness during Ramadan

THERE IS A GREAT NEED TO EDUCATE MUFTIS/IMAMS ON FASTING AND MEDICAL PROBLEMS/DISEASES AND MEDICAL TESTS by a group of professional  practicing Muslim
doctors.
THERE IS ALSO A GREAT NEED TO EDUCATE MUSLIM DOCTORS/GPs ON RAMADAN AND ILLNESSES AND THE KNOWN FATAWAS IN THE MUSLIM WORLD.
LOCAL SEMINARS OF DOCTORS AND IMAMS IS VERY ADVISABLE TO DO IN THE LAST WEEK BEFORE RAMADAN to discuss the different medical problems and the Fatawas regarding Diabetes
