                      THE PROPHETIC/ISLAMIC METHOD OF ZABIHA/DHABH/ANIMAL SLAUGHTER FOR REAL HALAL MEAT
 
 
THE ANIMAL:
 
-Allowed to eat and consume( like:sheep,cow,chicken....) but not pigs or  any carniverous animal.
-Fully alive and conscious and can hear normally at time of Zabiha.
-Healthy and fit for human consumption
-Was fed natural vegeterian diet and grown normally  in natural environment(organic)
 (not fed animal protein,or genetically modified diet).
-The body of the animal should not contain: hormones,antibiotics or harmful chemicals as in vaccines(TAYYIB)
 
ANIMAL CARE AND WELFARE BEFORE AND  AT TIME OF ZABIHA:
 
-Fed and given water before
-Handled gently  with great respect and individually by the slaughterman,without causing any stress or cruelty and without pushing,beating or causing any discomfort.
-Kept away from seeing the sharpening of the knife,the slaughter of other animals or the blood
-Have as much as possible: clean skin,fur and bird feathers
-Inspected and certified by the vet before
-Kept in a comfortable position at time of Zabiha,without any stress or distraction or fear.
 
THE MUSLIM MAN WHO DOES THE ZABIHA:
 
He should be :
-Adult
-Sane and free from any drug or alcohol(intoxicants)
-Aware of the prophetic method of Zabiha and a practicing Muslim
-Trained in Hygiene and regulations and  in doing the right cut at the right position
-And he should do all Zabiha in licensed slaughterhouses,making sure that no contamination did occur with any porcine substance.
 
THE PROPHETIC/ISLAMIC METHOD OF ZABIHA:
 
-Sincere INTENTION(Niyya) to slay the animal in the Name of ALLAH for halal human consumption
-The KNIFE to be long clean and very sharp
-To hold each animal gently and individually(hand slaughter)
-Not to use any type of stunning at all.
-To do :TASMIAH: mentioning the Name of ALLAH at time of doing the cut(Bismillah ALLAH AKBAR) to the conscious hearing animal.
-Doing the cut in the right anatomical site of the neck:
 Cutting:The skin, the muscles the  major blood vessels of the neck: Carotids and Jugular with the Trachea and Oesophagus
 Without cutting the spinal cord or separating the head from the neck.
-Allowing the maximum drainage of the blood/Bleeding out(TAZKIYAH) ,without interfering with the natural physiological process of dying(contractions and convulsions)  and till all movements  have stopped.
 
THE FINAL PROPHET MUHAMMAD(peace be upon him) HAS SHOWED US HOW TO DO ZABIHA AND HE IS OUR MODEL AND TEACHER;
HE HAS ALSO SAID:
"VERILY ALLAH HAS PRESCRIBED PROFICIENCY(IHSAN) IN ALL THINGS:
THUS IF YOU KILL,KILL WELL AND IF YOU SLAUGHTER AN ANIMAL,SLAUGHTER IT WELL:
LET EVERY ONE OF YOU SHARPEN HIS BLADE/knife,THUS SPARING THE ANIMAL FROM ANY SUFFERING"
