Google AppEngine (GAE) + Django - and - GeoDjango Series

While there is an existing series on GAE + Django, would love to see
more of this. Would really like to see some sort of 'real world'
application from scratch. Build an application with Django on GAE
from A - Z.

Would also really like to see a good GeoDjango series. With the
continued increase in GIS and Location Based applications this would
be a really interesting series.

hi bo,

I was waiting for GAE to settle down a bit and mature, but the series suggestion is a good one. There is a small amount of money to throw at special projects - I'll investigate a bit in a spare (as if) minute. One still hears of problems with GAE, particularly on the (not a) database front. And some people quite high up the feeding chain have intimated that the effort isn't ultimately worth the reward.

This suggestion goes top of the list  for club-productions, and maybe someone will step forward in the meantime. I'm about to send out a group-mailing to try and drum up some new vids.
