hmm. I develop Showmedo on a Kubuntu box and can watch the flvs ok. In my experience flash is a bit of a minefield in the *buntu world. Why it will be so great when we have the html5 video tag up and running. Thanks a lot for the tips - I'm going to add a little help-box to the video-page including links such as this. The problem with the number of OS-browser-flash configurations is that some will slip through, and people's feedback is usually of the 'videos didn't work' variety, which isn't a lot to go on.

I just installed Ubuntu on a laptop and until following this tip, I
could not play ShowMeDo videos.
