corel sutie 8 and scibus

Is it possible to open a corel suite 8 document (.wpd) in scribus?  I tried multiple ways but nothing worked.

I haven't used scribus much so I don't know if there is a wpd plugin
or not, but I do a little DTP.

1st whenever possible, save your documents as Rich Text Format (rtf).
It is more compatible with other software.

2nd have corel & scribus open at the same time and just do a copy/
paste.

If that doesn't work let me know & I will play with scribus, but all I
have Open Office & MS Words.
