Mike and I started a wiki page to document ideas for future iterations
of the VideoWrangler/VideoPress plugins.
http://showinabox.pbworks.com/Videopress-Features
Please add any ideas you have.

Eric has updated these plugins for the latest version of Wordpress,
and we dont currently expect any more updates soon. But we wanted to
write down our ideas while they were still fresh. These plugins are
all GPL, so open to anyone contributing changes.

I think the ideas I had were already documented but now they have been
moved to "old stuff" - anyway they're there somewhere

I did a radical break on the SIAB wiki since it'd been untouched for a while.
http://showinabox.pbworks.com/Old-stuff has everything we used to
have. Nothing changed in that structure. It's all under Plugins.

I just made the front page blank so Mike could document for the newest
plugin versions since it's the freshest stuff we have.
I keep thinking SIAB is dead...so nice to see a little life in it.

Yeah, I get that it's a radical break and newest/freshest...

just pointing out that some of the older documentation of ideas is
still valid & doesn't necessarily need to be started over from
scratch. It's not a big deal - I think it's dead too.

I think there's a LOT of valuable stuff here:
http://showinabox.pbworks.com/Old-stuff
Looking at it now, we had some really awesome ideas a couple years
ago. We all just ran out of development power. This info will not go
away.

I have a feeling that all the ideas we had will be possible...but not
in the technical execution that we imagined. They'll be a different
way to expose our video archives, design blogs, etc. I'm hoping it'll
be some drag and drop system using HTML5 or something.

That would be cool if it all could be done. Now - a year later, I'm
thinking we should maybe think drupal - I know Markus has pushed for
this for a long time, and I'm a believer now.
Just a thought.

Push is such a strong word. I prefer nudge :)

Drupal & WP are both great tools.

Like hammer and mallet, they have some similarities and similar uses.

Like any tool, what works best depends on the job at hand and ones
skills with that tool.

It's true. Markus is definitely more nudge-able than I. I tend to
barge - push - shove and generally be a dog. So it was I that changed
his nudging to pushing. I will speak for myself from now on.

Thanks everybody,
