Supported Image MIME Types?

Hi guys,

I'm really happy for you and I'mma let you finish :) but what are the
supported image formats?

You must be supporting jpg, png, and gif, but anything else? Bmp? Tga?
Psd? ...???

Just wondering what kind of checks I need to put into my app...

I was wondeing if you managed a Russian language site? If so, how did you manage with TAGS in Russian?

Allowed file types are .gif, .jpg, .jpeg, and .png

BTW: jpg and jpeg are the same type.

I just had a bad experience with a site where the client was under
instructions to always upload with same extension, .jpg for example.

Turns out, an image was uploaded with .jpeg and it broke a client-side
algorithm that was too lazy to eliminate the extension when doing a
regex.

They swear they only ever used .jpg though, and then suggested maybe
the Shopify upload process somehow rewrite the CDN asset as .jpeg

Anyone ever encounter CDN assets with extension changed like that? I
am pretty sure it is not a real issue.. but nonetheless, this post
reminded me of the something similar.

No I didn't :) I'm writing an app, but it does not deal with tags at all
(yet). Sorry.

What's the problem, anyway? Shouldn't it all be, like, UTF-8 or something?
