Hello,

I am not a developer but may be in need of one to help with work
related to this question...

Is it possible to use the API to purchase a product?

For example, using list of all products and some defined relation to
what a customer has purchased previously, I want to offer the customer
a product that they could then purchase by simply adding it to the
most recent open order.

Please let me know if this is possible. I am technical and think that
my review of the API tells me this is not possible but I am hopeful.

Thank you in advance.

Hey Robb,

You're right, that's not possible with the API currently. Modifying orders or creating purchases based on previous ones is not supported.

Such a bummer.

Thank you Denis.

Any chance you know of a cart the likes of Shopify that supports post-
checkout one click upsell and downsell?

Thanks again.

Hi Denis,

Are there any plans to add creating an order to the API in the near future? I'm looking for an e-commerce site as a back-end for my application where clients can create and manage their products and my application would fetch this information for a different POS and then create the order in Shopify.

Thanks,

Stuart.

Order creation is on the API roadmap but there’s no ETA.
