Attend the historical Chess and Shogi encounter between Madoka Kitao and Marie Sebag !
Marie Sebag is the best female French chess player. She has the IGM title (International Grand Master) since 2008 in chess and is the first female French chess player to have fulfilled all requirements to get this title. Marie Sebag is number 12 female chess player in the world, and teaches chess to the children of the Petit Pouchet chess club.
Madoka Kitao is a female shogi pro player, 1 Dan. She has written several shogi books in English to help the popularization of shogi in the west. Madoka is the inventor of the famous Dobutsu shogi, a simplified version of shogi, with pieces with animals drawings to help children to learn shogi. Madoka plays chess as a good chess club player.
Madoka is back again in Paris !! For this special occasion, a chess and shogi encounter will take place on the saturday 30th june in Paris from 14:00 to 18:00.

The two female champions will play games together and will play with the public as well :
- chess and shogi games between Madoka and Marie
- Marie Sebag will play blitz chess games with the public (1 mn against 5 mn)
- Madoka Kitao will play simul shogi games with the public
During this afternoon, a shogi tournament and a chess tournament will be organized, opened to all.
