Dear All,

One of my colleague in India is using toolbox to make a dictionary. The font which is used to enter data in \lx is SILDOULOS IPA93. As far as I know, I think it is not a unicode font. I would like ask how would one know whether a particular font is unicode or not? In the present case, if SILDOULOS IPA93 font is not a unicode font, then how should it be converted to a unicode font. I would be a great help because he had entered quite a lot words and sentences in his toolbox project.

Thanks

I believe that the font you mention is not a Unicode font. In fact, this
font is included in the case discussed on page:
http://scripts.sil.org/cms/scripts/page.php?item_id=SILIPA93DataConversion

It is likely that a Toolbox file would fall into the third category, so
use of the Bulk SFM Converter tool from the SIL Converters tools is
indicated.

Write again if you need more details.

Thanks D. Rowe, I could convert the data in SILDOULOS IPA93 to unicode by following the process mentioned in the link. It was an easy process to follow. In the output unicode file, there were some characters/ symbols which may have been appeared because of the non-unicode data was converted to unicode. Those characters (in the converted unicode data) were corresponding to some symbols in the non-unicode data and I replaced such characters with appropriate ipa symbols.
