Message from Greg DEN to every member and guest of SH N#1 TMC

 

Hello !!

 

This message will be brief !

 

I hope you are fine and are having great moments in your every day life.

 

This Sunday there is the Area speech contest. It is this September 23, from 14:00 to 17:00. I am the contest Chair but also a member of SH N#1 Toastmasters.

3 members of our club will participate to the next level:

- Nancy Chen

- Elton Sung (1st participation - Evaluation contest)

- Justine Ye

 

This time, they will face harder competition. Whether Nancy, Elton and Justine want to go to the next level or not, I still think they need your support !

As Contest chair, I especially asked to have a place very easy to access (very close to Zhongshan Park Station-Exit 7 - Thanks to Grace Yao for finding it) but also insisted to have a very affordable fee - 10 Rmb.

 

Even if you come for 30min or 1 hour - I am sure that having you and see your face and your supportive eyes from the audience will give more motivation to perform well ... and it would also show that Shanghai N#1 Toastmasters Club is not a dead club.
We often mention about kindness, gratitude, potential, commitment and other positive topics within our meetings ... but let's not make it only words ... as it always seems to be apparently.

 

Of course I can understand you have things to do, and can be busy; I will not blame any one for not showing - except if I see almost no one coming to support them (even for 30 min), then I will have no other feeling but sadness, and maybe shame.

 

As speakers, you know how having a friendly audience is important and HELPFUL for your confidence and ability to perform well.

We need the audience to feel great on stage.

Please, if you can, come and give strength to our 3 contestants ...

 

And because it is at Zhongshan Park Station, you can come to the Contest and later go to the supermarket Carrefour if you need stuff for your home later !! Or go to the park for a lovely walk with a "friend" !! Or go shopping !! ...

 

I really hope to see you there !!

The contest will be Sunday September 23, from 14:00:

At Zhonshan Park Station (lines 2, 3 ,and 4) go to exit 7.

When you exit, turn left and head "behind" the building to access it. (1027 Changning Lu)
Then take the elevator to the 16F - Go to Synopsis Cie, Meeting Room: Huron.
