一个关于haskell程序性能的问题

最近碰到一个关于haskell性能的问题，觉得有点奇怪。
程序的功能是简单的处理文本，但是花的时间和文本的长度不呈线性关系。
后来改了版，呈线性了，但不知道为什么，求高手解释。

length x >= 5 每次對 genSample 求值都會執行，時間複雜度是行數的平方階的
